Chicken Curry and Chicken Biriyani Recipes
Here are my own recipes on Chicken Curry and Biriyani. ...:)
mama, nice recipe. i too follow more or less the same way. there are some differences. i add mustard seeds in the oil at the beginning. also i marinate the chicken for 30 mins in turmeric and bit of chilli powder.
one question in biriyani, dont you keep the cooker on flame till the whistle comes.
mama, I learned this from one of my chiti. 1) That you should never wait for the pressure whistle. Rather, by trial and error, find out the exact time to keep the cooker in medium flame. Of course, once you move the cooker from flame, the pressure still remains in the cooker. Don't open it till all the pressure fizzles out. 2)One of the reasons for really boiling the gravy for a longer period of time is to ensure that the chicken boils really well. So, the whole pressure cooker preparation is just to boil the basmati rice.
